Leadership Team

John Davis

Chair

John Davis is Executive Vice President and Deputy Trust and Asset Management Executive of Cadence Bank. Davis has more than 42 years in the Trust and Financial Management services industry. John is a graduate of the University of the South (Sewanee) and earned his MBA at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB).

He is very involved within his community, having held or holding leadership and volunteer positions with the following charities and non-profit organizations: Phillips Foundation, Good Samaritan Free Medical Clinic, Loaves and Fishes Community Soup Kitchen, Lowndes County Homeless Coalition, United Way, Rotary Club of Columbus, Mississippi Bankers Association, Columbus Educational Foundation, Columbus Country Club, Golden Triangle Development LINK, Columbus Art Council, Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau, Columbus Chamber of Commerce, S. D. Lee Foundation, and St Paul’s Episcopal Church.

John Fair

Title

John is a native of Louisville, MS, graduating from Louisville High School in 1965. He served in the US Navy for six years from 1966-1972. Upon completion of his military service, he attended Mississippi State University and received a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1975. He married Bonnie Bennett of Oxford, MS and they have four children, Laura, Johnny, Emily, and Caroline. John is a devote Christian and has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Louisville since 1960. He is an ordained Deacon and Ruling Elder of the Presbyterian Church in America. John currently serves as President of The Fair Companies. (Distributor of L. P. Gas, Gasoline, and Diesel Fuel & Developer of Real Estate Properties for the gasoline business)

John is an active civic leader in his community serving on the Board of Directors of the Louisville/Winston County Chamber of Commerce from 1977-1983 where in 1983 he was elected President. He has also served on the school board of Winston Academy, the Community Bank Board of Directors of Renasant Bank, and the Board of Directors of Louisville Country Club. In 2008 he served as President of the MS Petroleum Marketer’s and Convenience Store Association. His company was a charter member of SOJC and he served on the SOJC board of directors for the first six years of its existence.

John continues to be active in the family business started in 1934 by his father, John S. Fair. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, and golf.
